Senate Resolution No. 481

HONORING the Long Island Consistory No. 61 upon
the occasion of its Ceremony of Remembrance and
Renewal on March 27, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor organizations and traditions that preserve history, uphold
principles of unity and service, and inspire the pursuit of knowledge
and enlightenment; and

WHEREAS, The Long Island Consistory No. 61 will hold its esteemed
Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal on March 27, 2025, a solemn and
reflective observance that reaffirms the values of integrity,
fraternity, and commitment to service that are the foundation of Prince
Hall Freemasonry; and

WHEREAS, This sacred ceremony serves as an opportunity to honor
those who have come before, reflecting on their wisdom, sacrifices, and
unwavering dedication to the principles of truth, justice, and
brotherhood; and

WHEREAS, The Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal not only pays
tribute to the past but also strengthens the resolve of its members to
continue their work in the community, embodying the highest ideals of
faith, perseverance, and enlightenment; and

WHEREAS, The Long Island Consistory No. 61 has long been a pillar of
leadership and service, dedicated to uplifting individuals and
communities through education, charitable works, and mentorship,
ensuring that future generations carry forward its noble mission; and

WHEREAS, The observance of this ceremony reinforces the bonds of
unity among brethren, reminding all in attendance of the importance of
moral character, self-improvement, and a steadfast commitment to the
greater good; and

WHEREAS, It is fitting and proper that this Legislative Body
recognize the Long Island Consistory No. 61 for its enduring
contributions to society and commend its members for their dedication to
preserving the sacred traditions of Prince Hall Freemasonry; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the Long Island Consistory No. 61 upon the occasion of hosting its
Ceremony of Remembrance and Renewal on March 27, 2025, recognizing its
invaluable role in fostering unity, reflection, and continued service;
and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the leadership of the Long Island Consistory No. 61.
