COMMENDING the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of
Commerce upon the occasion of celebrating its 100th
Anniversary in 2025
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, in keeping with
its time-honored traditions, to recognize and pay tribute to those
organizations that embrace the historical significance and contributions
of their localities which strengthen the fabric of the communities of
New York State; and
WHEREAS, The quality of life of the citizens of the State of New
York is greatly enriched by its exceptional cultural, educational, and
recreational institutions; these institutions give positive definition
to the profile and disposition of the communities of the State of New
York and profoundly strengthen our society with their commitment; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce upon the occasion of
celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2025; the organization is honored
to celebrate the past and shape the future of the Ticonderoga Area; and
WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1925, the mission of the Ticonderoga
Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) has been to initiate and provide
programs, services, and leadership which will enhance a cooperative
business community and create a vibrant economy, making the Ticonderoga
Area an exceptional place to live, work, and visit; and
WHEREAS, TACC's members have focused on the organization's vision to
be the leading advocate for business, serving as a driving force in the
economic vitality of the Greater Ticonderoga Area, uniting communities,
and maximizing resources; and
WHEREAS, Additionally, the key areas of focus for the Ticonderoga
Area Chamber of Commerce are membership, business, tourism,
communication, leadership, and organization; and
WHEREAS, As one of the area's leaders in economic development, TACC
and the Ticonderoga Area have expanded significantly within the last
decade; and
WHEREAS, The members of the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce
have striven to provide benefits, events, and initiatives to create a
vibrant and cooperative business community; and
WHEREAS, In 2024, TACC made an addition to the name of the
community's business organization; thus, the full title is Ticonderoga
Area Chamber of Commerce & Center For Economic Vitality; and
WHEREAS, The expanded name denotes attributes of a successful
business, including business development services, business trainings,
employment and workforce development programs, tourism and marketing
initiatives, and partnerships; and
WHEREAS, The tireless effort of the members of the Ticonderoga Area
Chamber of Commerce showcases their commitment to remain business
focused, community minded, and future driven; and
WHEREAS, For the past 100 years, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of
Commerce has contributed to the growth of the business community and the
economic future of the Ticonderoga Area; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce upon the occasion of
celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2025; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce & Center For
Economic Vitality.
