CONGRATULATING Mylie Weyant upon the occasion of
capturing the NYSPHSAA Division I Championship in
Girls Bowling on March 15, 2025

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in high school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare athletic
achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue such
excellence and become examples for the youth of this great Empire State;
and

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate Mylie
Weyant upon the occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA Division I
Championship in Girls Bowling during the state composite division
tournament at AMF Syracuse Lanes in Syracuse, New York, on Saturday,
March 15, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Rome Free Academy junior Mylie Weyant was crowned Division
I Champion with the highest average of 229.16 and an individual series
score of 1,375; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors of black and orange,
family members, friends, and the community at large loyally and
enthusiastically supported Mylie Weyant throughout her journey as she
ended her regular season with an impressive overall average 216; and

WHEREAS, Sports competition instills the values of teamwork, pride
and accomplishment, and Mylie Weyant, who is in her fifth-year bowling
on the varsity team, has clearly made a contribution to the spirit of
excellence which is a tradition of her school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Mylie Weyant upon the occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA
Division I Championship in Girls Bowling on March 15, 2025; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mylie Weyant.
