HONORING Monica Lindsay for her exemplary service
to her community and the State of New York

WHEREAS, The Great State of New York is only as great as those
individuals who perform exemplary service on behalf of their
communities, whether through unique achievement in professional or other
endeavors or simply through a lifetime of good citizenship; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
this year's Shining Star, Monica Lindsay, to be recognized at the Pace
University's 30th Annual Law Leadership Dinner at the Westchester
Country Club in Rye, New York, on Thursday, March 27, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Monica Lindsay is an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen &
Hamilton LLP, where she specializes in mergers and acquisitions, with a
particular focus on public company and strategic transactions; and

WHEREAS, Since the commencement of her legal career in 2019 at
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, Monica Lindsay has developed a deep
expertise in navigating complex corporate transactions, including
advising both domestic and international clients on high-profile M&A
deals; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her transactional practice, Monica Lindsay
is dedicated to giving back to the community through pro bono work, and
she actively contributes her legal skills to small businesses and
not-for-profit organizations; and

WHEREAS, Monica Lindsay is an active member of her church in the
Bronx, where she sits on the Board of Trustees, and a member of Cleary
Gottlieb's Women Lawyers' Advisory Committee and the Black Associates
Group; and

WHEREAS, Monica Lindsay received her Bachelor of Arts degree from
the University of Delaware in 2016 and a Juris Doctor degree from the
Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2019; now, therefore,
be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Monica
Lindsay for her exemplary service to her community and the State of New
York; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Monica Lindsay.
