HONORING District Governor Romeo Hitlall upon the
occasion of his designation for special recognition
at the Lions of District 20-K1 Testimonial Gala on
June 14, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those individuals and organizations who foster the spirit
of volunteerism and community service and whose selfless dedication
enhances the quality of life for citizens throughout the State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
District Governor Romeo Hitlall, upon the occasion of his designation
for special recognition at the Lions of District 20-K1 Testimonial Gala,
to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in celebration of his outstanding
leadership and commitment to humanitarian service; and

WHEREAS, A devoted public servant and exemplary civic leader,
District Governor Romeo Hitlall is the Charter President of the Richmond
Hill South Ozone Park Lions Club, established in 2012, and has served
three terms as Club President; he has held numerous district-level
positions and has guided fellow Lions with unwavering dedication and
visionary purpose; and

WHEREAS, A proud son of Guyana and longtime resident of Queens, New
York, District Governor Romeo Hitlall built a successful career in real
estate as Broker/Owner of NMCRA Connectors Realty while consistently
dedicating himself to charitable endeavors throughout New York City; and

WHEREAS, In recognition of his early and enduring commitment to
cultural preservation and community advancement, District Governor Romeo
Hitlall was honored by the New York City Council during the first
Caribbean American Heritage Celebration in 2006; and

WHEREAS, Over the past decade, District Governor Romeo Hitlall has
distinguished himself through leadership roles such as Zone Chair, Chair
of the Alert Team, Chair of the Technology Committee, and Member of the
Global Leadership Team, among many others, all while mentoring fellow
Lions through his certification as a Guiding Lion and leadership
training at Lions University and the MD20 Lions Leadership Institute;
and

WHEREAS, Supported by his loving family, his Partner in Service,
Lion Sandra Hitlall, and their children, Leo Lion Dr. Joshua Hitlall and
Leo Lion Jasmine Hitlall, RN, District Governor Romeo Hitlall embodies
the values of humility, integrity, and service that define the Lions
motto, "We Serve"; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is proud to extend its highest
commendation to District Governor Romeo Hitlall for his decades of
meaningful service and exemplary stewardship in advancing civic welfare
and global understanding; now, therefore, be it


RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor District Governor Romeo Hitlall upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition at the Lions of District 20-K1
Testimonial Gala, recognizing his tireless efforts and enduring legacy
of service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to District Governor Romeo Hitlall, Lions District 20-K1.
