COMMEMORATING the 40th Anniversary of Carmella's
Cafe in New Hartford, New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize
illustrious culinary establishments which have positively impacted and
substantially contributed to the vitality of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Carmella's Cafe in New Hartford, New
York; this momentous milestone was celebrated with a special ribbon
cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 15, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Carmella's Cafe, named after owner Mike Ezzo's late wife,
Carmella Ezzo, remains a pillar in its community after four decades of
excellence in cuisine and hospitality; the restaurant's menus pay homage
to Carmella Ezzo, displaying her smiling image on the covers, serving as
a reminder of her countless and meaningful contributions to, and love
for, the enduring business she helped create; and
WHEREAS, Experiencing much success and loyalty from its patrons
since its opening on April 15, 1985, Carmella's Cafe showcases a
down-to-earth environment with delicious food, a comfortable bar, and
reliable and consistent service; and
WHEREAS, Many of the dishes served at the cafe are adaptations of
Carmella Ezzo's family's recipes, thusly upholding important family and
cultural traditions and methods, while simultaneously executing
delicious Italian cuisine which the cafe has become renowned for; and
WHEREAS, Carmella's Cafe offers homemade marinara, spaghetti,
alfredo sauce, and chicken riggie sauce to go along with the delicious
handmade pasta that the restaurant has become known for; and
WHEREAS, The remarkable success of Carmella's Cafe is due in large
part to its owner, Mike Ezzo, along with his expert and caring staff
whose warmth and hospitality is easily recognized by loyal patrons; this
dynamic business is well-versed in customer service and truly makes
everyone who walks through their door feel like family; and
WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Carmella's Cafe; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Mike Ezzo, owner of Carmella's Cafe in New Hartford, New
York.
