COMMEMORATING the 25th Anniversary of Assured
Information Security

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those organizations of high purpose and worthy
accomplishment whose endeavors have faithfully served the welfare of the
citizens of the State of New York; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Assured Information Security in June
2026; and

WHEREAS, Founded in 2001, Assured Information Security (AIS) employs
approximately 200 people and provides cyber and information security
services to businesses of all sizes, including federal government
partners; and

WHEREAS, AIS was working in the cyber and information security
industry before it was even known as "cyber"; with founders who had
worked in the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate in
Rome, New York, AIS started as a software company focused on Air Force
and Department of Defense cyber technology requirements research,
earning its first contract with AFRL in 2002; and

WHEREAS, For the past 25 years, the cyber and information security
landscape has changed dramatically, transforming from a niche discipline
to national security; the industry has shifted from long-term research
and development cycles to the rapid deployment of mission-critical
capabilities; technology, requirements, and threats now evolve at an
unprecedented pace, demanding constant adaptation; and

WHEREAS, Artificial intelligence plays an increasingly important
role in the field of cyber and information security, and AIS remains a
leading voice in the industry due to its ability to adapt, innovate, and
respond in an environment where cyber and information security are
essential to success; and

WHEREAS, AIS has become one of the earliest organizations in the
country to attain Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2
which shows an advanced level of compliance with federal information
safeguarding requirements for sensitive information; AIS was also
awarded a contract on the MDA SHIELD IDIQ, further expanding its role in
supporting critical missile defense initiatives; and

WHEREAS, In 2025, the company experienced many successes which
included earning its 25th patent and securing major contracts like
EVEREST and OASIS+; additionally, AIS received the Hire Vets Medallion
Award for the fifth consecutive year, reinforcing its commitment to
hiring and supporting United States veterans; and

WHEREAS, AIS invests in the community through initiatives such as
blood drives with the American Red Cross, Black Girls Code, a local

youth drone camp with SUNY Poly, Toys for Tots, and food drives, to name
a few; the company also strengthened key partnerships by signing a
Memorandum of Agreement with SUNY Poly and launching a new partnership
with Modovolo to accelerate innovation in the Unmanned Aerial Systems
(UAS) space; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when
individuals and organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are
brought to our attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by
all the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Assured Information Security and to
honor its members, past and present, who have labored so conscientiously
to improve the security and quality of life for the members of the
community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Assured Information Security.
