CONGRATULATING the Hamilton College Men's Hockey
Team upon the occasion of capturing the 2026 NCAA
Division III Championship

WHEREAS, Individual and team championships are highly sought after
in collegiate school sports; this Legislative Body commends rare
athletic achievements and pays special recognition to those who pursue
such excellence and become examples for the people of this great Empire
State; and

WHEREAS, Excellence and success in competitive sports can be
achieved only through strenuous practice, team play, and team spirit,
nurtured by dedicated coaching and strategic planning; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate the
Hamilton College Men's Hockey Team upon the occasion of capturing the
2026 NCAA Division III Championship on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the
Adirondack Bank Center in Utica, New York; and

WHEREAS, To the praise and applause of their excited fans, the
Hamilton Continentals defeated Hobart College, which had been undefeated
all season, in a 2-1 overtime victory to win the Championship; and

WHEREAS, This championship title is the second NCAA Division III
team title in the history of Hamilton College, and the first national
championship title for the men's hockey team; and

WHEREAS, Proudly donning the school's colors, the community at large
loyally and enthusiastically supported the Continentals throughout their
journey as they ended their season with an impressive overall 23-5-2
record; and

WHEREAS, In a sport such as hockey, which demands athletic prowess,
speed, and agility, Head Coach Rob Haberbusch and his skilled coaching
staff worked hard to hone the skills of this championship team, teaching
these outstanding athletes lessons which will prove invaluable both on
and off the rink; and

WHEREAS, Coach Rob Haberbusch and all of the outstanding athletes on
the Hamilton College Men's Hockey Team have clearly utilized dedication,
determination, and teamwork in providing a lasting contribution to the
spirit of excellence which is a tradition of their school; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the members of the Hamilton College Men's Hockey Team:
Thomas Beaudoin, Clarence Beltz, Justin Biraben, Tyler Bloomfield, Max
Bulawka, Lucas Constantine, Alex Danis, Michael Gallary, Vincent Gould,
Carson Hall, Sebastian Hamming, Jacob Ierfino, Jackson Krock, Noah
Leibl, Joey Lovullo, Cameron Miranda, Josh Nadler, Aksel Reid, Garrison
Schultz, Ryan Sordillo, Curtiss Sturgeon, Luke Tchor, Connor Thue, Liam
Varmecky, Devon de Vries, Brendan Waivada, Zach Walsh, Trey Williams,
John Wojciechowski, and Ben Zimmerman; Head Coach Rob Haberbusch;

Assistant Coach Stephen Castriota; and Goaltending Coach Casey Boone on
capturing the 2026 NCAA Division III Men's Hockey Championship; and be
it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the members of the Hamilton College Men's Hockey Team,
Head Coach Rob Haberbusch, Assistant Coach Stephen Castriota, and
Goaltending Coach Casey Boone.
