CONGRATULATING Daniel J. Quinlan upon the occasion
of his retirement after 35 years of distinguished
service as Superintendent of the Village of Geneseo
Department of Public Works

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens of this great Empire State who have
devoted themselves to faithfully serving the best interests of their
community and the needs of its residents; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Daniel J. Quinlan upon the occasion of his retirement after
35 years of distinguished service as Superintendent of the Village of
Geneseo Department of Public Works to officially take place on June 30,
2026; and

WHEREAS, Born on March 19, 1966, in Rochester, New York, Daniel J.
Quinlan attended Avon Central School and has been a constant in the
Geneseo community; he began his illustrious 35-year career when he was
hired at the Department of Public Works on January 14, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Daniel J. Quinlan served the Village
of Geneseo Department of Public Works (DPW) with intelligence and caring
dedication, continuously striving to effectively fulfill the duties of
his position; he has also served as a fireman for many years with the
East Avon Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with
whom he worked, Daniel J. Quinlan will be remembered for his honesty,
integrity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of
human problems in his official acts; and

WHEREAS, Supporting him throughout have been his wife, Christine;
their two children, Ashley and Zachary; and his late mother and father
Kevin and Marcia Quinlan, all of whom feel privileged to be a part of
his life and rejoice in his achievements; and

WHEREAS, In completing his service as Superintendent, Daniel J.
Quinlan leaves behind a legacy to the Village of Geneseo Department of
Public Works and to the residents of the communities it serves; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of New York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations
congratulate Daniel J. Quinlan upon the occasion of his retirement after
35 years of distinguished service as Superintendent of the Village of
Geneseo Department of Public Works; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Daniel J. Quinlan.
