COMMEMORATING the 10th Anniversary of Project
Fibonacci Foundation and recognizing its "Tap Into
STEAM Goes Gold" celebration

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those organizations whose dedication, vision, and service have
enriched the lives of New Yorkers and strengthened the communities they
serve; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Project Fibonacci Foundation and to
recognize its anniversary celebration, "Tap Into STEAM Goes Gold," to be
held on Sunday, September 13, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Project Fibonacci Foundation has become a driving force for
STEAM education throughout Oneida County, the Mohawk Valley, and Central
New York, connecting students, teachers, schools, businesses, colleges,
and nonprofit organizations through programs that foster creativity,
leadership, and lifelong learning; and

WHEREAS, Through its signature STEAM Leadership Conference,
innovation camps, drone and technology programs, leadership initiatives,
and community partnerships, the foundation has provided thousands of
students with opportunities to explore emerging technologies, develop
critical skills, and envision new possibilities for their futures; and

WHEREAS, Project Fibonacci Foundation has worked closely with school
districts throughout the region, helping to cultivate the next
generation of scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, artists,
and civic leaders who will shape the future of the Mohawk Valley and New
York State; and

WHEREAS, The foundation's efforts have helped strengthen the
connection between education and workforce development, supporting
regional initiatives to attract, retain, and develop talent while
preparing students to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving economy;
and

WHEREAS, By bringing together educational institutions, local
employers, community organizations, and public-sector partners, Project
Fibonacci Foundation has demonstrated the power of collaboration in
advancing educational excellence and creating opportunities for young
people across the region; and

WHEREAS, The foundation's impact extends beyond the classroom,
fostering a spirit of innovation, civic engagement, and community pride
that has contributed to the continued growth and vitality of the Mohawk
Valley; and

WHEREAS, Now in its fourth year, "Tap Into STEAM" has raised over
$50,000 in support of more than 20 nonprofit organizations across
Central New York and the Mohawk Valley; and


WHEREAS, As part of Project Fibonacci Foundation's 10-year
anniversary, this year's event has transformed into "Tap Into STEAM Goes
Gold," providing an opportunity to reflect upon 10 years of remarkable
achievement, honor the many educators, volunteers, board members,
sponsors, and community partners whose support has made the foundation's
success possible, and celebrate a shared commitment to investing in the
region's future; and

WHEREAS, The 10th Anniversary of Project Fibonacci Foundation stands
as a testament to what can be accomplished when a community comes
together to support education, innovation, and opportunity for future
generations; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Project Fibonacci Foundation and
recognize its "Tap Into STEAM Goes Gold" celebration on September 13,
2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Project Fibonacci Foundation.
