MOURNING the untimely death of Edeedson Cine Jr.,
beloved son, brother, grandson, and member of his
community
WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to honor and pay
tribute to individuals whose lives exemplified kindness, promise,
devotion to family, and commitment to their community, and to express
its deepest sympathy upon their untimely passing; and
WHEREAS, Edeedson Cine Jr., affectionately known as "Eddy," of West
Babylon, New York, died tragically on December 25, 2025, at the age of
23; and
WHEREAS, Edeedson Cine Jr. was born on July 29, 2002, at North Shore
LIJ University Hospital in Manhasset, New York, the cherished son of
Edeedson Cine, Sr. and Marie Rooseveline Cine; and
WHEREAS, Eddy attended Parliament Place Elementary School and Robert
Moses Middle School before graduating from North Babylon High School in
2020; and
WHEREAS, Following his graduation, he pursued higher education at
Nassau Community College before continuing his studies at Hunter
Business School, where he successfully completed the Computer Technician
Program; and
WHEREAS, A hardworking and determined young man, Eddy held positions
with several employers throughout his young career and was employed as a
Customer Service Clerk and Associate at CVS in Lindenhurst, New York;
and
WHEREAS, Eddy was known by all who knew him as a caring, thoughtful,
and compassionate individual whose warm spirit and gentle nature left a
lasting impression on family members, friends, coworkers, and neighbors
alike; and
WHEREAS, He possessed many talents and passions, including a love of
cooking and baking for those he cared about most, especially preparing
his favorite meals of pasta, T-bone steak, and late-night eggs; and
WHEREAS, Eddy also loved music of many genres, sang in youth and
children's choirs, played the drums, and brought joy to others through
his creativity, energy, and enthusiasm for life; and
WHEREAS, He took pride in his appearance, valued self-expression,
and was admired for his sense of style, while remaining grounded by his
loving heart and devotion to family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Though his years were far too few, Eddy's life was filled
with love, laughter, faith, and meaningful connections that will
continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him; and
WHEREAS, He is survived by his loving parents, Edeedson Cine Sr. and
Marie Rooseveline Cine; his brother, Jonathan S. Cine; his sisters,
Edelyne Cine and Faith R. Cine; his maternal grandmother, Jacqueline
Beaubrun; his paternal grandparents, Joseph Cine and Rose I. Cine; and a
large and devoted extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and
countless friends who mourn his passing and cherish his memory; and
WHEREAS, The passing of Edeedson Cine Jr. leaves a profound sorrow
in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community, yet his
legacy of kindness, love, perseverance, and faith will forever endure;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the untimely death of Edeedson Cine Jr., to honor and celebrate
his life and legacy, and to extend its deepest condolences to his family
and loved ones; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Edeedson Cine Jr.
