CONGRATULATING Kayleb Martin upon the occasion of
capturing the NYSPHSAA's Division II Boys Wrestling
Championship in the 170-pound weight class

WHEREAS, Athletic competition helps to enhance both the moral and
physical development of young athletes, preparing them for the future by
instilling in them the importance of teamwork, encouraging a standard of
healthy living, and developing a sense of fair play and competition; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body commends rare athletic achievements
and pays special recognition to those who pursue such excellence and
become examples for the youth of this great Empire State; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate
Kayleb Martin upon the occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA's Division II
Boys Wrestling Championship in the 170-pound weight class on Saturday,
March 1, 2025, at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York; and

WHEREAS, The sport of wrestling demands exceptional dedication,
discipline, and perseverance; and

WHEREAS, Achieving the title of New York State Champion represents
the pinnacle of athletic excellence in scholastic wrestling; and

WHEREAS, Through countless hours of training, sacrifice, and mental
fortitude, Kayleb Martin of Sackets Harbor Central School has
demonstrated extraordinary skill and unwavering determination throughout
the 2024-2025 wrestling season, becoming the first Patriot to win a
wrestling title; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the regular season, Kayleb Martin practiced with
South Jefferson High School, and with the help of his father, Ricky, as
well as Kenny Courts, he accomplished his goal of winning a state title;
and

WHEREAS, This remarkable achievement brings great pride to Sackets
Harbor Central School, the local community, and the entire State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, Kayleb Martin's success serves as an inspiration to
aspiring athletes, exemplifying the rewards of hard work and commitment;
and

WHEREAS, In light of his recent accomplishments, Kayleb Martin has
brought honor and just pride to his school and community on the local,
and State level, clearly utilizing dedication and determination in
providing a lasting contribution to the spirit of excellence which is a
tradition of his school; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kayleb Martin upon the occasion of capturing the NYSPHSAA's
Division II Boys Wrestling Championship in the 170-pound weight class;
and be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kayleb Martin.
