COMMENDING Class of 2025 Salutatorian Diana
DeAngelo of Mount St. Mary Academy, in recognition
of her outstanding accomplishments

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act in accord
with its long-standing traditions, to honor the youth of today, the
leaders of tomorrow, whose character and achievements exemplify the
ideals and values cherished by this great State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Class of
2025 Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo of Mount St. Mary Academy, in
recognition of her outstanding accomplishments; and

WHEREAS, Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo represents the best of
developed potential inherent in our most precious resource, our youth;
her achievements have brought enduring honor to her family and community
and should be recognized and saluted; and

WHEREAS, Graduating with outstanding honors, Salutatorian Diana
DeAngelo has earned several awards throughout her academic career,
including the New York State Senate Youth Leadership Award, the
University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award, Student
Councilor of the Year Award, Blue Rose Award, and the College Board AP
Scholar Award; and

WHEREAS, In addition to her stellar academic achievements,
Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo was a dedicated student-athlete, serving as
captain of the dance team and member of the Senior Competition Team at
The Grand Island Dance Center; and

WHEREAS, Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo engrossed herself in
extracurricular activities and community involvement at Mount St. Mary
Academy, having served as president of the Student Council; co-CEO of
Mount St. Mary Academy's student-run virtual enterprise business, Fly By
Fashion; and ambassador for The Girl Scouts of Western New York; and

WHEREAS, Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo intends on continuing her
academic journey by studying public health and policy; and

WHEREAS, As Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo takes leave of Mount St.
Mary Academy, she bestows a legacy of academic achievement, school
involvement and community service to which others may aspire; and

WHEREAS, Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo may now stand with pride as she
assesses her achievements, experiences the satisfaction of her labor,
and feels the joy of her accomplishments, eager to face the new
experiences of a challenging world; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Class of 2025 Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo of Mount St. Mary
Academy, in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Salutatorian Diana DeAngelo.
