COMMENDING RiseBoro Community Partnership upon the
occasion of hosting its 8th Annual Gala on September
25, 2025

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend organizations of high purpose and worthy accomplishment whose
efforts have significantly contributed to the quality of life in
communities across New York State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend RiseBoro Community Partnership upon the occasion of hosting its
8th Annual Gala, to be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at The
Edison Ballroom, New York, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Annual Gala serves as both a celebration of the
organization's achievements and a recognition of dedicated partners and
individuals who have made substantial contributions to the communities
served by RiseBoro; and

WHEREAS, Since its founding in 1973, RiseBoro Community Partnership
has worked tirelessly to build a New York City where no individual's
health, housing stability, or economic opportunity is limited by their
zip code; and

WHEREAS, RiseBoro delivers services across four boroughs, providing
more than 150 programs that empower communities and uplift New Yorkers
of all generations through workforce development, GED and language
preparation, affordable housing, food access and nutrition education,
financial literacy, and support for older adults; and

WHEREAS, The organization's impact is demonstrated through
significant outcomes, including managing over 22,000 senior care cases,
delivering nearly one million home-delivered meals, constructing 2,175
new housing units, achieving a 92.86% success rate in youth educational
programs, and serving more than 800 homecare clients through its health
division; and

WHEREAS, RiseBoro's unwavering commitment to equity, diversity, and
systemic change continues to drive innovative solutions and
community-centered strategies that improve lives and transform
neighborhoods; and

WHEREAS, As it continues to grow and serve New Yorkers across
Brooklyn and beyond, RiseBoro remains rooted in the fundamental belief
that healthy, empowered communities begin with neighbors supporting one
another; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend RiseBoro Community Partnership upon the occasion of hosting its
8th Annual Gala on September 25, 2025, and to applaud its outstanding
legacy of service and advocacy on behalf of New York's communities; and
be it further


RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to RiseBoro Community Partnership.
