HONORING Justin Taylor upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition after many years
of exemplary public safety leadership and
distinguished service to the community

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those individuals whose dedication to public service and community
well-being exemplifies the highest ideals of citizenship; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Justin Taylor upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition after many years of exemplary public safety leadership and
distinguished service to the community; and

WHEREAS, Justin Taylor is hereby recognized for a lifetime of
distinguished service characterized by steadfast leadership, selfless
commitment, and an enduring devotion to the safety, prosperity, and
quality of life of the residents of the Town of Clayton and the greater
community; and

WHEREAS, Justin Taylor began his exemplary record of volunteer
public safety service in 1975 as a member of the Clayton Fire
Department, and throughout the decades has served with distinction in
numerous leadership capacities, including Second Assistant Chief, First
Assistant Chief, Chief of the Department, Secretary, and Treasurer; and

WHEREAS, Justin Taylor continues his service to this day as Senior
Captain of the Clayton Fire Department's fire boat, Last Chance,
demonstrating unwavering commitment to marine and waterfront safety; and

WHEREAS, His service record extends beyond routine duty, including
honorable participation as a Fire Officer supporting the 1980 Winter
Olympic Games in Lake Placid, alongside fellow members of the Clayton
Fire Department; and

WHEREAS, Justin Taylor has further enhanced local emergency
preparedness and coordination through service with the Town of Clayton
Joint Fire District, where he currently serves as Chairman, and through
his contributions as a member of the Jefferson County Fire Advisory
Board; and

WHEREAS, In addition to his leadership in fire and emergency
services, Justin Taylor has served the public as Town of Clayton
Supervisor, providing thoughtful and steady guidance on matters of local
governance and community development, particularly along the waterfront;
and

WHEREAS, Through both civic leadership and private-sector
initiative, Justin Taylor has played a key role in the responsible
redevelopment of a former industrial site into a vibrant community
asset, including the establishment of the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel,

which continues to contribute to local economic vitality and waterfront
activity; and

WHEREAS, The dedication, professionalism, and neighborly spirit
demonstrated by Justin Taylor over decades of service have earned him
the respect, admiration, and gratitude of the community he has so
faithfully served; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Justin Taylor for his exemplary service to public safety and his
long-standing commitment to community leadership; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Justin Taylor.
