HONORING The Training Edge upon the occasion of
its designation as recipient of the People's Choice
Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be
celebrated on March 19, 2026

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those outstanding organizations whose commitment, dedication and
service contribute significantly to the vitality and well-being of the
communities of New York State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
The Training Edge upon the occasion of its designation as recipient of
the People's Choice Award by the Clarence Chamber of Commerce, to be
celebrated at its 53rd Annual Awards Gala on Thursday, March 19, 2026,
at Samuel's Grande Manor in Williamsville, New York; and

WHEREAS, The Training Edge is a martial arts school whose mission is
to foster a family environment that develops strong character rooted in
faith, hope, and love by inspiring students to believe in a better
future and find the strength to overcome life's challenges; and

WHEREAS, The Training Edge has been teaching martial arts in the
greater Clarence community since 1996, with this year marking the
momentous 30-year anniversary of the business; and

WHEREAS, A core focus of The Training Edge is to teach its karate
students aged 5-12 years old how to develop a positive attitude toward
themselves and others, exhibit self-control and a non-quitting spirit,
and how to develop their character based on honesty and integrity; and

WHEREAS, Students 13-years-old and up can learn Krav Maga, an
approachable and practical, real-world self-defense system that teaches
simple, effective techniques that work under stress, regardless of size,
strength, or experience; and

WHEREAS, The teachings of The Training Edge go beyond the physical;
instructors aim to build a strong and well-balanced body and mind
relationship, teaching mental toughness and helping students build
confidence, awareness, and resilience, which serve them both on and off
the mat; and

WHEREAS, The Clarence Chamber of Commerce's designation of The
Training Edge as recipient of the People's Choice Award is a fitting
tribute to an organization whose passion, care for others, and
unwavering service have strengthened the Clarence community and enriched
the lives of countless individuals and families; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor The Training Edge upon the occasion of its designation as
recipient of the People's Choice Award by the Clarence Chamber of
Commerce on March 19, 2026; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to The Training Edge of Williamsville, New York.
