RECOGNIZING Emprendedores Latinos USA for its vast
business and cultural contributions to the diverse
communities of New York State

WHEREAS, Emprendedores Latinos USA ("Latino Entrepreneurs") is a
community-based organization dedicated to empowering Latino
entrepreneurs through education, visibility, collaboration, and access
to resources that support economic growth and leadership development;
and

WHEREAS, Emprendedores Latinos USA exists to empower, educate, and
uplift Latino entrepreneurs by promoting business development,
leadership growth, and community collaboration; and

WHEREAS, This commendable organization serves as a platform for
Latino business owners, professionals, and community leaders to share
knowledge, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen economic
opportunities within the Latino community; and

WHEREAS, Emprendedores Latinos USA actively fosters community
engagement by highlighting Latino-owned businesses, supporting
professional development, and creating spaces for networking,
mentorship, and collaboration; and

WHEREAS, The economic contributions of Latino-owned businesses to
the State of New York and to the United States are far-reaching and
impactful; Hispanic-owned firms accounted for approximately 8.4 percent
of all employer businesses in the United States in 2025 (approximately
496,000 firms) and generated more than $730 billion in annual revenue,
highlighting their significant economic size and contribution to our
great State and Nation; and

WHEREAS, Latino-owned businesses have shown strong, consistent
growth in the United State since 2018; the number of Latino-owned
businesses grew 44% from 2018 to 2023, representing a state and national
trend; and

WHEREAS, The number of Latino-owned businesses in Rochester, New
York grew 97% between 2015 and 2022; this upward trend is prevalent in
in cities such as Buffalo and Syracuse, New York as well; while
contributing to a national, record-high $653 billion in revenue, these
firms are essential, often serving as community anchors; and

WHEREAS, Beyond national patterns, regional studies show that
locations such as the New York City metropolitan region have tens of
thousands of Latino-owned businesses, emphasizing their significance to
local economies and our State's diverse communities; and

WHEREAS, The leadership and members of Emprendedores Latinos USA
have demonstrated a continued commitment to advancing equity,
representation, and economic empowerment for Latino entrepreneurs at the
local, state, and national levels; and

WHEREAS, The purposeful and committed members of Emprendedores
Latinos USA's Board of Directors recognize the organization's positive
impact on the communities it reaches and the importance of formalizing
its mission, values, and strategic direction; and

WHEREAS, This noble organization's commitment to strengthening
Latino-owned businesses, increasing visibility for entrepreneurs, and
fostering economic opportunity within underserved communities must be
acknowledged, commended, and thanked by the citizens of this great
Empire State; and

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity
to recognize such organizations of significance which foster ethnic
pride and exemplify the cultural diversity that represents and
strengthens the fabric of the people and the State of New York; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
recognize Emprendedores Latinos USA for its vast business and cultural
contributions to the diverse communities of New York State; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Emprendedores Latinos USA.
