Assembly Resolution No. 983

COMMENDING Town of Tonawanda Water Resource
Director Michael Kessler upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Distinguished
Service to Public Works Award

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Michael Kessler upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Distinguished Service to Public Works Award by the
American Public Works Association Western Branch, at the annual awards
dinner on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Wurlitzer Events; and

WHEREAS, Michael Kessler has given not only of his time and
energies, but also of his competence, intelligence and leadership and
consequently has been designated for this special honor; and

WHEREAS, For his work with the Town of Tonawanda's Water Resource
Department, Director Michael Kessler has received the American Public
Works Association Western Branch Distinguished Service to Public Works
Award; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Michael Kessler has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Michael Kessler has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Michael Kessler upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the Distinguished Service to Public Works Award by the
American Public Works Association Western Branch; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Michael Kessler.
