HONORING Jenni Letcher, RN, upon the occasion of
her designation as recipient of The DAISY Award by
Kenmore Mercy Hospital

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize and
commend those exceptional healthcare professionals whose dedication,
skill and compassion strengthen their communities and embody the highest
ideals of public service; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in keeping with its
time-honored traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jenni Letcher, Registered Nurse, upon the occasion of her designation as
a recipient of The DAISY Award by Kenmore Mercy Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Jenni Letcher was nominated for this distinguished
recognition by a grateful patient who expressed deep appreciation for
her extraordinary commitment to care, noting that she consistently
exceeded expectations, demonstrated patience in challenging
circumstances, and ensured that her patients felt supported and at ease;
and

WHEREAS, Through her unwavering compassion, professionalism and
attentiveness, Jenni Letcher exemplifies the highest standards of
nursing practice, fostering an environment of dignity, comfort and
respect for every individual entrusted to her care; and

WHEREAS, The DAISY Award is presented in partnership with The DAISY
Foundation, which was established in 1999 in memory of J. Patrick
Barnes, who passed away at the age of 33 from complications of
Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia Purpura (ITP); and

WHEREAS, The DAISY Foundation-an acronym for Diseases Attacking the
Immune System-was created to honor the remarkable clinical skill and
compassionate care demonstrated by nurses, inspired by the profound
difference they made during Patrick's hospitalization; and

WHEREAS, Today, The DAISY Award is an international program
recognizing nurses whose clinical excellence and heartfelt compassion
have a lasting and meaningful impact on patients, families and
healthcare teams; and

WHEREAS, As a DAISY Award partner, Kenmore Mercy Hospital proudly
celebrates nurses who embody Nursing Excellence and demonstrate the
"Right Way to Care" through their steadfast commitment to
patient-centered service; and

WHEREAS, In receiving this prestigious honor, Jenni Letcher, RN, has
brought great pride and distinction to herself, her colleagues, Kenmore
Mercy Hospital, and the broader healthcare community of the State of New
York; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jenni Letcher, RN, upon the occasion of her designation as a

recipient of The DAISY Award by Kenmore Mercy Hospital, and to commend
her for her outstanding dedication to excellence in nursing and
compassionate patient care; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jenni Letcher, RN.
