HONORING Peter Ananiadis upon the occasion of his
retirement after 30 years of owning and operating
Nick's Place in Buffalo, New York

WHEREAS, This Legislative Body seeks to acknowledge those
individuals whose professional lives and civic endeavors serve to
enhance the local communities which make up this great State of New
York; and

WHEREAS, For the past 30 years, Peter Ananiadis rendered faithful,
conscientious, and valuable service to his community and to his loyal
patrons of Nick's Place, a Greek diner in the City of Buffalo, New York;
and

WHEREAS, In his capacity as owner and operator, Peter Ananiadis
always led his staff with passion, kindness, and dedication; and

WHEREAS, Peter Ananiadis moved from Greece to Buffalo as a child and
worked his way up in family restaurants until he became the owner of
Nick's Place; and

WHEREAS, Despite Nick's Place closing on Saturday, February 22,
2025, Peter Ananiadis will keep busy in his leisure time by helping at
Nick's Place on Elmwood, also known as Nick's Place Express, the
restaurant owned by his beloved son; and

WHEREAS, In his official acts, Peter Ananiadis was governed by an
unwavering sense of duty and always demonstrated keen attention to
detail, ultimately growing Nick's Place into a thriving, successful
business and cherished community staple; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business, its contributions to the local
and state economies, and its vibrant role in improving the quality of
life in its community; now, therefore, be it

WHEREAS, During his time operating Nick's Place, Peter Ananiadis
earned the admiration, esteem, and affection of his colleagues; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Peter Ananiadis upon the occasion of his retirement after 30 years
of distinguished service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Peter Ananiadis.
