Senate Resolution No. 1235

AMENDING Senate Resolution R1408 of 2023
establishing a plan setting forth an itemized list
of grantees for a certain appropriation for the
2023-24 state fiscal year for additional grants in
aid to certain school districts, public libraries,
public colleges and universities, and education and
arts not-for-profit institutions. Notwithstanding
any provision of law to the contrary, the amounts
appropriated herein may be sub-allocated or
transferred between other agencies, including the
state education department, city university of New
York, state university of New York, and New York
state council on the arts as required by a plan
setting forth an itemized list of grantees with the
amount to be received by each, or the methodology
for allocating such appropriation. Such plan shall
be subject to the approval of the temporary
president of the senate and the director of the
budget and thereafter shall be included in a
resolution calling for the expenditure of such
funds, which resolution must be approved by a
majority vote of all members elected to the senate
upon a roll call vote

RESOLVED, that funds originally appropriated in 2023 pursuant to
section 1 of chapter 53 of the laws of 2023 and reappropriated
pursuant to section 1 of chapter 53 of the laws of 2025 which enacts
the aid to localities, local assistance account, for additional grants
in aid to certain school districts, public libraries, public colleges
and universities, and education and arts not-for-profit institutions.
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the amounts
appropriated herein may be sub-allocated or transferred between other
agencies, including the state education department, city university of
New York, state university of New York, and New York state council on
the arts. Such funds shall be apportioned pursuant to a plan setting
forth an itemized list of grantees with the amount to be received by
each, or the methodology for allocating such appropriation. Such plan
shall be subject to the approval of the temporary president of the
senate and the director of the budget and thereafter shall be included
in a senate resolution calling for the expenditure of such monies,
which resolution must be approved by a majority vote of all members
elected to the senate upon a roll call vote, in accordance with the
following schedule which shall be added in the schedule originally
approved in Senate Resolution R 1408 of 2023 and as amended by R 2692
of 2024:
