§ 27-1519. Pilot projects.
The commissioner shall cooperate with the commissioner of health to
develop pilot projects pursuant to subdivision 3 of section 1389-dd of
the public health law to promote the safe handling, treatment and
disposal of medical waste generated in private residences. The
commissioner may exempt these pilot projects from the permitting
requirements of this article.
