§ 437. Place of investigations and hearings; witnesses; books and
documents. The commission may conduct investigations and hearings
within or without the state and shall have power to compel the
attendance of witnesses, the production of books, records, documents and
other evidence by the issuance of a subpoena signed by a member of the
