§ 66. Destruction of certain records, books and other data by the
attorney-general. In any action or proceeding or by other process of
law, in which a money judgment or award shall have been procured in
favor of the people of the state of New York, any department of the
state of New York, or duly constituted division, bureau or board
thereof, and which judgment or award has been duly paid and satisfied,
the department of law, with the consent of the commissioner of education
as provided by section one hundred forty-seven of the education law, may
after the expiration of six years from the time of payment of said
judgment or award destroy all statistics, documents and papers filed
with or used by the department of law in procuring said judgment or
award.
