Power of supreme court justices residing in Kings and Queens counties to appoint interpreters

§ 172. Power of supreme court justices residing in Kings and Queens
counties to appoint interpreters. A majority of the justices of the
supreme court for the second judicial district, residing in the county
of Kings and a majority of the justices of the supreme court for the
eleventh judicial district, residing in the county of Queens, may
respectively appoint an interpreter or interpreters to attend the terms
of the supreme court in each of the counties of Kings and Queens. The
appointing justices shall fix the salaries of such interpreters who
shall hold office during good behavior.
