    Power to purchase and contract limited

    Second Class Cities (SCC) CHAPTER 53, ARTICLE 8

    § 125. Power to purchase and contract limited. No person shall have
    power to make any purchase or contract any debt for which the city shall
    be liable unless authorized by the provisions of this chapter or the
    local finance law.
