    SECTION 40

    Powers and duties of fence viewers

    Town (TWN) CHAPTER 62, ARTICLE 3

    § 40. Powers and duties of fence viewers. The assessors shall perform
    all the duties and shall exercise all the powers hereinafter imposed and
    conferred upon fence viewers. In a town having a sole appointed
    assessor, the assessor and the members of the town board shall act as
    fence viewers.
