Uniform Justice Court Act (UJC) CHAPTER 898, ARTICLE 9
§ 905. Pleadings; defenses.
The court may consider any defense to a cause of action or claim
asserted by any party, whether such defense be denominated or deemed
legal or equitable in nature.
