LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Dr. Gerald Ente upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the Nassau County Medical Society

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality of life in the communities across this great State of New York
is enriched by the diligence and compassionate commitment of those indi-
viduals whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of others; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Dr.
Gerald Ente upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the Nassau County Medical Society to be celebrated at its 48th Annual
Medallion Ball on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at The Westbury Manor, West-
bury, New York; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gerald Ente, President of the Nassau County Medical Soci-
ety, has given not only of his time and energies but also of his compe-
tence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has been designated
for special honor; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Gerald Ente has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Dr. Gerald Ente has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, In the faithful performance of his duties and responsibil-
ities, Dr. Gerald Ente's ongoing efforts and notable achievements have
significantly contributed to bettering the quality of life in his commu-
nity; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Gerald Ente upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Nassau County Medical Society; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Gerald Ente.
