LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Reverend Maria Virginia Molina upon
the occasion of her designation for special recognition by the New York
Hispanic Clergy Organization on April 11, 2009

WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State is nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Reverend
Maria Virginia Molina upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition by the New York Hispanic Clergy Organization at its 21st
Anniversary Celebration to be held on Saturday, April 11, 2009, at the
Maestro's Caterers, Bronx, New York; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Molina has brought to her ministry an overwhelming
spirit of charity and compassion, acting from vision and enlightenment
in conducting her administrative and spiritual duties, while always
displaying the highest standards of personal and professional integrity
and dedication; and
WHEREAS, The oldest of five siblings, Reverend Molina was born on May
21, 1955, in Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, to Mr. Bartolo Molina and
Ana Silvia Molina; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Molina began her studies in the town of Aguitas,
Villa Vasquez, Dominican Republic and concluded them in Santo Domingo;
and
WHEREAS, Reverend Molina accepted the Lord at the age of 14, after
knowing of the word through the mentoring of her cousin Ms. Urena; as a
young girl, she was a devoted member of the Hebrew Church 11 in the town
of Las Palmas de Herrera with Pastor Julio Cesar Pena; and
WHEREAS, In 1974, Reverend Molina married and was later blessed with
four children, Melvin Ruben, Carlos Levi, Cesar Leivy and Virnalisy; she
also has seven grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, Laboring as a missionary, Reverend Molina arrived in the
United States in 1985, and met Reverend Miguel Ramos, who served as her
Shepherd for 16 years in the Church Christ Missionary in the County of
the Bronx; it was here that she was allowed to exercise her ministerial
work and her academic preparation; she began to participate in the radi-
al department under the direction of Reverend Eli Fosh; and
WHEREAS, In 2000, Reverend Molina took part in the Afternoon Radio
Prayer through Radio Vision Cristiana International, and continues this
effort today; she also has worked in the Prison Ministry Rompiendo Yugo;
and
WHEREAS, Reverend Molina was ordained by Dr. Hector A. Chiesa; in
2005, she began the work of her ministry, Centro Cristiano Cumplidores
de Promesa; while still serving the Bronx, she has also expanded her
ministry to the City of Noble, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Reverend Molina is an active member of the New
York Hispanic Clergy Organization, always contributing her services for
the benefit of the community; together with her Church and her daughter,
Virnalisy, Reverend Molina also helps the needy people in the Coast of
Good Man, Monte Cristi, Dominican Republic, by providing free gifts and
toys to children in this community; and
WHEREAS, This distinguished woman of God has always given enlight-
enment, guidance and wisdom to the many entrusted to her care and has

administered abundantly and unstintingly to the spiritual and corporal
needs of all; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when a person
of such noble aims and accomplishments is brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend that indi-
vidual for the edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Reverend Maria Virginia Molina upon the occasion of her desig-
nation for special recognition by the New York Hispanic Clergy Organiza-
tion, noting her unremitting and compassionate faith and her exemplary
service to God, man, and her community, and extending to her the heart-
felt best wishes of this Legislative Body for a future of purposeful
success and well-being; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Reverend Maria Virginia Molina.
