LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Sam Mathew upon the occasion of receiv-
ing the Special Recognition Award from Westchester and Rockland Society
of Pharmacists on May 9, 2009
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who would devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its
citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Sam
Mathew upon the occasion of receiving the Special Recognition Award from
Westchester and Rockland Society of Pharmacists at its 104th Annual
Dinner Dance on Saturday, May 9, 2009, at The Davenport Club, New
Rochelle, New York; and
WHEREAS, Sam Mathew is a man of singular distinction who has contin-
ually demonstrated extreme competence, extraordinary intelligence and
diligent leadership in his unwavering service to his community and West-
chester and Rockland Society of Pharmacists and consequently has been
selected for this most prestigious honor; and
WHEREAS, As a Board member and current Secretary of Westchester and
Rockland Society of Pharmacists, Sam Mathew has been called upon to
contribute his time and talents to countless endeavors on behalf of the
Society and has always given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his service, a period of
constructive involvement, Sam Mathew has stood constant in dignity, good
grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned our
recognition and applause; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Sam Mathew upon the occasion of receiving the Special Recognition
Award from Westchester and Rockland Society of Pharmacists; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Sam Mathew.
