LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff upon the
occasion of receiving the 2009 Thomas W. Keesee, Jr. Conservation Award
from Audubon New York on November 4, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those individuals who are dedicated to increasing public
awareness of, and appreciation for, the natural resources of New York;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff upon the occasion of receiving the 2009
Thomas W. Keesee, Jr. Conservation Award from Audubon New York on Novem-
ber 4, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The Chairman of the Audubon New York Board since its incep-
tion in the late 1990s, Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff also serves on the
National Audubon Society Board; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his work with the Audubon Society, Constantine
Sidamon-Eristoff has had an incredible career in the private sector,
defining integrity in public service from the Lindsay Administration in
New York City to the George H.W. Bush Administration in Washington,
D.C.; and
WHEREAS, Throughout his storied career, Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff
has volunteered his time and expertise, as well as sharing his resources
with numerous commissions, boards and blue ribbon panels; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is pleased to have this opportunity to
express its highest admiration for Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff and to
wish him continued success in all of his future endeavors; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff upon the occasion of receiving the
2009 Thomas W. Keesee, Jr. Conservation Award from Audubon New York on
November 4, 2009; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Constantine Sidamon-Eristoff.
