LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring James Jordan Associates upon the occa-
sion of receiving the Otsego County Chamber/Key Bank, NA Small Business
Award on October 8, 2009

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
James Jordan Associates upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego County
Chamber/Key Bank, NA Small Business Award on October 8, 2009, at the
Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, New York; and
WHEREAS, Located in Richfield Springs, New York, James Jordan Associ-
ates is an architecture firm that is well known for its work with educa-
tional facility planning and design; in addition, the majority of its
work involves evaluation and renovation of existing buildings, additions
and construction; and
WHEREAS, Highly regarded throughout the Northeast, Jim Jordan and the
staff at James Jordan Associates contribute to Otsego County in numerous
ways and are truly committed to making the region better; and
WHEREAS, Jim Jordan serves on the boards of the Otsego County Indus-
trial Development Corporation and the Otsego County Industrial Develop-
ment Agency and served six years as a valuable member of the Board of
the Otsego County Chamber; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses such as James Jordan Associates exert a
strong, positive influence on the communities they serve and are a
crucial element in the economy of New York State; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when small
businesses of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor James Jordan Associates upon the occasion of receiving the Otsego
County Chamber/Key Bank, NA Small Business Award on October 8, 2009,
fully confident that it will continue to enjoy the sparkling success
which has so characterized its past; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to James Jordan Associates.
