LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Jim Colotti upon the occasion of receiv-
ing the Citizen of the Year Award from the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to honor those illus-
trious individuals and institutions of the State of New York whose
purposeful endeavors serve to enhance the quality of life in their
communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, it is the sense of this Legislative Body to commend
Jim Colotti upon the occasion of receiving the Citizen of the Year Award
from the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Jim Colotti will be honored at the Wantagh Chamber of
Commerce's 2010 Annual Awards Dinner, to be held on January 28, 2010, at
Westbury Manor in Westbury, New York; and
WHEREAS, Jim Colotti has been called upon to contribute his time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Jim Colotti has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, Owner of Wantagh dot LI, Jim Colotti first posted the website
in September of 2001; it offers fast access to neighborhood information,
and its charter is to help the people and businesses of its community;
and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Jim Colotti has displayed throughout
his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Jim Colotti upon the occasion of receiving the Citizen of the Year
Award from the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Jim Colotti.
