LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending the Chinese American Real Estate Asso-
ciation upon the occasion of celebrating its 17th Anniversary on March
19, 2010

WHEREAS, It is the practice of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are reflective of the dedicated efforts of those associations and
its members who devote themselves to the welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
the Chinese American Real Estate Association upon the occasion of its
17th Anniversary to be celebrated on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Queens
Crossing, Mudan Banquet Hall, Flushing, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Chinese American Real Estate Association (CAREA) is a
non-profit grassroots organization founded in the New York Chinese
Community in 1993; and
WHEREAS, CAREA members consist of Real Estate Professionals and other
professionals relating to all aspects of the Real Estate fields in the
New York and Tristate area, who share an interest in the Chinese-Ameri-
can communities and the surrounding region; and
WHEREAS, Since its establishment, CAREA has worked to promote the
professional advancement of Real Estate professionals and to provide a
unified platform for its members; and
WHEREAS, Its mission also includes creating opportunities for the
exchange of information, skills and experience; establishing a communi-
cation channel between different governmental agencies and communities;
and most importantly, encouraging cooperation, good will and profession-
alism amongst its members; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when associ-
ations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend the Chinese American Real Estate Association upon the occasion
of celebrating its 17th Anniversary on March 19, 2010; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Chinese American Real Estate Association.
