LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Judy Yannantuono-Parsells upon the
occasion of her designation as the recipient of the Bobbie A. Lahey
Memorial Award for Volunteer Services by the Girl Scouts Heart of the
Hudson and the YWCA Orange County

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that the
quality and character of life in the communities across New York State
are reflective of the concerned and dedicated efforts of those individ-
uals who devote themselves to the welfare of the community and its citi-
zenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Judy Yannantuono-Parsells upon the occasion of her designation as the
recipient of the Bobbie A. Lahey Memorial Award for Volunteer Services
by the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and the YWCA Orange County; and
WHEREAS, Judy Yannantuono-Parsells will receive this most prestigious
honor at the 18th Annual Tribute to Women of Achievement Dinner to be
held on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Anthony's Pier 9, New Windsor, New
York; and
WHEREAS, For 18 years, the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and the
YWCA Orange County have honored women in Orange County who have made a
difference in the community in their professional, personal or school-
based activities; and
WHEREAS, A woman of singular distinction, Judy Yannantuono-Parsells
has been called upon to contribute her time and talents to countless
endeavors and has always given of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A resident of Pine Bush, New York, Judy Yannantuono-Parsells
has been actively involved with numerous volunteer organizations includ-
ing Town of Montgomery Volunteer Ambulance Corps, and Middletown Elks
Lodge No. 1097; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Judy Yannantuono-Parsells has served as Treasur-
er of Coldenham Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, President of Pine Bush
Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and 1st Vice-President of Orange Coun-
ty Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, Judy Yannantuono-Parsells is the Team Captain
for Relay For Life Sisters of Hope, Anniversary Committee member for
Inspire, and has been a Cub Scout Den Leader and Committee Member of
Pack 41; she is also a devoted member of Graham's United Presbyterian
Church; and
WHEREAS, With her throughout has been her husband, Jeff, and her chil-
dren, Bryan, Crystal and John, all of whom feel privileged to be a part
of her life and rejoice in her achievements; and
WHEREAS, An inspiration to all those whose lives she has touched, Judy
Yannantuono-Parsells has continually demonstrated extreme competence,
extraordinary intelligence and diligent leadership in her unwavering
service to her community; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Judy Yannantuono-Parsells upon the occasion of her designation
as the recipient of the Bobbie A. Lahey Memorial Award for Volunteer
Services by the Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and the YWCA Orange
County; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Judy Yannantuono-Parsells.
