LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Bradley Butler upon the occasion of his
designation as Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation
Professional Chefs/Cooks Association of Rochester Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Bradley Butler upon the occasion of his designation as Chef of the Year
by the American Culinary Federation Professional Chefs/Cooks Association
of Rochester Inc. on Sunday, September 19, 2010; and
WHEREAS, The Rochester Chapter of the American Culinary Federation was
founded in 1962 to bring together culinary professionals, educators,
culinary students and food purveyors; it has a long history of being
involved and giving back to its community; and
WHEREAS, Chef of the Year Butler volunteers his time and passion for
the culinary field by volunteering in schools like Fairport High School
at their Culinary Camp and the Monroe County B.O.C.E.S; he is part of
the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation's team, where he
helps accredit culinary schools at both the secondary and post secondary
levels; and
WHEREAS, Chef Butler has been a finalist two out of the last three
years in a recipe competition called Culinary Creations sponsored by a
nationwide organization of health care facilities with over 5,000 member
companies; he also is the creator of the very innovative and successful
dining concept called Gourmet Theater; and
WHEREAS, The event held in January of 2009 for the New York State
Restaurant Association featured the collaboration of many of the areas
best chefs, under Chef Butler's direction, bringing his unique vision of
"the Dinner being the Entertainment" to its triumphant outcome; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when individ-
uals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our atten-
tion, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens of
the great State of New York; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Bradley Butler upon the occasion of his designation as Chef of the
Year by the American Culinary Federation Professional Chefs/Cooks Asso-
ciation of Rochester Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Chef Bradley Butler.
