LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Eric Gross upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the Special Recognition Award by the Brew-
ster Education Foundation

WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made signif-
icant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Eric
Gross upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Special
Recognition Award by the Brewster Education Foundation on Saturday,
March 21, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Eric Gross is a distinguished voice and presence within the
Brewster School District Community and throughout Putnam County; as an
accomplished educator, journalist, radio broadcaster, television show
host and reporter, Eric Gross has cast a positive impact on events and
news within the Brewster school community for over 40 years; and
WHEREAS, During the weekly televised production, "Inside Brewster
Schools", Eric Gross highlights timely information on current events,
while incorporating school administrators, teachers and students; as a
Putnam Courier senior reporter and consultant for the Brewster School
District, he writes about the accomplishments, achievements, goals and
challenges of the school district; and
WHEREAS, The success of the Brewster School District is in direct
correlation to the efforts of Eric Gross, whose involvement is and
always has been characterized by an impressive commitment, an unbridled
enthusiasm, and an uncompromising standard of excellence in all endeav-
ors on behalf of the community and population he serves; and
WHEREAS, Eric Gross' distinguished record merits the recognition and
respectful tribute of this Legislative Body; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Eric Gross upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of
the Special Recognition Award by the Brewster Education Foundation; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Eric Gross.
