LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Carol Coltrain upon the occasion
of her designation as the recipient of the 2008 Community Leader of the
Year Award by the Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to acknowledge
outstanding individuals whose professional lives, personal endeavors and
community service are an example and inspiration to their colleagues,
friends, and family; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late Carol Coltrain upon the occasion of her designation as the recipi-
ent of the 2008 Community Leader of the Year Award by the Schoharie
County Chamber of Commerce; this auspicious occasion will be celebrated
at the Chamber's annual meeting to be held on Friday, January 23, 2009,
at The Best Western in Cobleskill, New York; and
WHEREAS, The Schoharie County Chamber of Commerce annually recognizes
community leaders in Schoharie County who have distinguished themselves
and whose community involvement has enhanced the stability, longevity
and advancement of the quality of life; and
WHEREAS, Carol Coltrain is a fixture in the Schoharie County communi-
ty; her outstanding dedication to her job and to the community and, in
particular, to its senior citizens has made her stand out as an advocate
for the people; and
WHEREAS, In addition, Carol Coltrain has been an outspoken and superb
leader in representing and working on behalf of people who need her
assistance; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her professional and communi-
ty service, a period of constructive involvement, Carol Coltrain has
stood constant in dignity, good grace and humor, and has earned the
respect and admiration of her colleagues, family and friends; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an individ-
ual for the benefit of others which Carol Coltrain has displayed
throughout her life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Carol Coltrain upon the occasion of her designation as the
recipient of the 2008 Community Leader of the Year Award by the Schohar-
ie County Chamber of Commerce; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Carol Coltrain.
