LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of Stewart Clark Bush, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is with great sorrow and deep regret that this Legislative
Body records the passing of Stewart Clark Bush of Pendleton, New York,
who died on August 3, 2008; and
WHEREAS, The son of Emmanuel and Elizabeth Bush, Stewart Clark Bush
was born on March 12, 1912, in the Town of Pendleton, New York; he
married the former Jeannette Lenz on August 26, 1939, in Buffalo, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Stewart Clark Bush owned and operated "The Bonny-Jen Farm," a
dairy and grain farm on Bear Ridge Road and retired from the United
States Corps of Army Engineers after 45 years of service; and
WHEREAS, A member and Trustee of the Pendleton Center United Methodist
Church for many years, Stewart Clark Bush was a former member of the
Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Pendleton and a former insurance
agent for Erie & Niagara Insurance Association; and
WHEREAS, Stewart Clark Bush is survived by his five children: Diane
Spaziana and her husband, Michael; Claudia Rowe and her husband,
William; Bonnie Bush; S. William Bush and his wife, Karen; and Thomas
Bush and his wife, Diane; eight grandchildren: Lucas Herman and his
wife, Wendy; Paula Adams and her husband, Kenneth; Sheryl Bates and her
husband, Jeffrey; Kate Maerten and her husband, Joel; and Sarah, Heath-
er, Jenna and Lindsay Bush; and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom
felt privileged to be a part of his life and rejoiced in his many
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit, imbued with a sense of
compassion, and comforted by a loving family, Stewart Clark Bush leaves
behind a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and will
remain as a comforting memory to all he served and befriended; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Stewart Clark Bush, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of Stewart Clark Bush.
