LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Pastors Paul and Carolyn Tebbano for 40
years of service in the ministry
WHEREAS, The character and richness of religious and community life in
this noble Empire State is nourished and fulfilled through the faithful
concern and selfless devotion of those who would commit their energies
and purpose to the ministry of others; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to bring full recog-
nition and just tribute to those individuals who distinguish themselves
and the ministry through their unremitting commitment and preeminence of
service; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Pastors Paul and Carolyn Tebbano for 40 years of service in the minis-
try, to be celebrated on Sunday, December 14, 2008, in Clifton Park, New
York; and
WHEREAS, This special occasion is to also celebrate 40 years of
marriage for Pastors Paul and Carolyn Tebbano; and
WHEREAS, A 1965 graduate of Linton High School in Schenectady, New
York, Reverend Paul D. Tebbano married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn
Braco on December 7, 1968; and
WHEREAS, In 1968, Reverend Paul Tebbano served as an airplane mechanic
for the Air National Guard; in the Fall of that year, he began preaching
and teaching as a youth pastor for the Van Nest Full Gospel Church in
the Bronx, New York; and
WHEREAS, In 1974, Reverend Paul Tebbano graduated from Valley Forge
Christian College in Pennsylvania; he received Evangelical Teacher
Training and earned a Teacher's Diploma from Northeast Bible College in
May of 1974; and
WHEREAS, From 1979-1984, Reverend Paul Tebbano served as youth pastor
and athletic director for New Life Ministries; in May of 1983, he
received his Certificate of Ordination from the Assemblies of God; and
WHEREAS, In 1985, Reverend Paul and Carolyn Tebbano began Harvest
Church of Clifton Park; in 1990, they began building the current facili-
ty; the Easter Sunday service of 1991 was the first held at that partic-
ular facility, and that same year, they started the community food
pantry; and
WHEREAS, In 1992, Reverend Paul Tebbano's first radio program was
broadcast locally, and is now aired throughout the Capital District,
western New York, northern New York and Canada, Chattanooga, Tennessee,
and around the world via shortwave radio; that same year he received a
Certificate of Ordination from LeSea Ministries; and
WHEREAS, On October 15, 2000, Reverend Paul Tebbano's first "Sold Out"
program was televised locally on WTEN Channel 10 & 19; on January 18,
2004, it was televised in 74 countries around the world; and
WHEREAS, On November 15, 2002, Reverend Paul Tebbano received an
Honorary Doctor of Divinity from the River Bible Institute in Tampa,
Florida; in January of 2003, he began a new building project for the
Distribution Center Harvest Warehouse, which would facilitate the stor-
age and distribution of food, clothing, furniture, and other items to
individuals and families in need; and
WHEREAS, In 2007, the Food Pantry provided 39,471 pounds of goods for
families living in the Clifton Park/Halfmoon community; and
WHEREAS, With them throughout have been their children, Paul and
James, as well as their grandchildren, Anthony and Nicco, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of their lives and rejoice in their
achievements; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when couples of
such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our attention it is
appropriate to publicly and jubilantly proclaim and commend them for the
edification of others; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Pastors Paul and Carolyn Tebbano for 40 years of service in the
ministry; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Pastors Paul and Carolyn Tebbano.
