LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating the Five Boro Electrical Contrac-
tors Association upon the occasion of celebrating its 54th Anniversary

WHEREAS, Organizations which serve the economic well-being and interests
of the people of this great Empire State merit the Commendation of this
Legislative Body; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality and character of life in the communities across New York
State are enhanced by the concerned and dedicated efforts of business
organizations and individuals that generously contribute to the welfare
of the community and its citizenry; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to congratu-
late the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Association upon the occasion
of celebrating its 54th Anniversary; this auspicious occasion will be
celebrated at the organization's annual Installation of Officers and
Board Members event, to be held on Friday, May 20, 2011, at the El
Caribe Country Club, 5945 Strickland Avenue, Mill Basin, Brooklyn, New
York; and
WHEREAS, Organized in 1957, the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Asso-
ciation is a membership corporation supported by member subscriptions;
it is a not-for-profit corporation; and
WHEREAS, The purposes for which the Five Boro Electrical Contractors
Association was formed were to advise the members of new changes of laws
and regulations in connection with building administrative codes and all
other laws and regulations pertaining to electrical work in the City of
New York; and
WHEREAS, In addition, the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Association
was established to procure uniformity and certainty on the customs and
usages of the electrical contracting trade and to further the general
good and welfare of its members; and
WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion presents a unique opportunity for
this Legislative Body to recognize and pay tribute to the Five Boro
Electrical Contractors Association; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when business
organizations of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be recognized by all the citizens of this great
Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Association upon the
occasion of celebrating its 54th Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the Five Boro Electrical Contractors Association, 110-14
Jamaica Avenue, Richmond Hill, New York 11418.
