LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Nancy Glazier upon the occasion of being
named Extension Educator of the Year by the New York Beef Producers
Association

WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve the
best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration and
cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Glazier has given not only of her time and energies but
also of her competence, intelligence and leadership and consequently has
been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Nancy Glazier
upon the occasion of being named Extension Educator of the Year by the
New York Beef Producers Association on Friday, January 21, 2011, during
the New York Feeder's Conference in Syracuse, New York; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Glazier serves as Small Farms Specialist for the North-
west New York Dairy, Livestock, and Field Crops Team; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, Nancy Glazier is responsible for coordinat-
ing and delivering the educational program for small farms in Livingston
and nine other counties in northwestern New York and the Finger Lakes
region; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Glazier, who works closely with beef producers, has
special interest in grazing and Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) and has
helped hundreds of producers by developing individualized grazing plans
as well as hosting pasture walks and fencing workshops; and
WHEREAS, Nancy Glazier has been called upon to contribute her time and
talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always given
of herself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, A remarkable writer, Nancy Glazier has created material for
the NWNY Team newsletter, Beef Cattle Comments and BQA press releases;
she also authors a Small Farms website; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of her community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Nancy Glazier has stood constant in
dignity, good grace and humor; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Nancy Glazier upon the occasion of being named Extension Educator
of the Year by the New York Beef Producers Association; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Nancy Glazier.
