LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commending Dr. Ethan Singer, Ph.D., N.P., upon
the occasion of being honored by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its
2012 Men at Work edition

WHEREAS, Individuals who distinguish themselves in their profession and
in service to their community merit the recognition and appreciation of
this Legislative Body and the people of the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern and fully in accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commend
Dr. Ethan Singer, Ph.D., N.P., upon the occasion of his designation for
special recognition by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its 2012 Men at
Work edition congratulating the men for making Sullivan and Wayne Coun-
ties a better place to live; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Ethan Singer earned a Master of Science in Nursing
(M.S.N.) degree and a Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from Miser-
icordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Philosophy
(Ph.D.) degree in Human Development with a specialization in Health
Promotion from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, He has, in addition, earned professional certification in
Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support; and
WHEREAS, Forty-six years old, Dr. Ethan Singer has worked as a Regis-
tered Nurse (R.N.) for 23 years and as a Nurse Practitioner (N.P.) for
16 years; and
WHEREAS, Since 2000, he has worked for Dr. Paul Salzberg, M.D. in his
family practice in Callicoon and in the Catskill Region Medical Center
(CRMC) Grover M. Hermann Hospital Division Emergency Room since 1999;
and
WHEREAS, With him throughout have been his wife Doris Singer; his
sister Debbie Singer; his stepdaughter Erika Winterle, his stepson Diet-
er Winterle; his mother-in-law Bette Jackson; and his granddaughter
Savannah, all of whom are proud to be part of his life and rejoice in
his accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have demonstrated a
long and sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in
their profession truly merit the recognition and appreciation of this
Legislative Body and the people of the State of New York; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Dr. Ethan Singer, Ph.D., N.P., upon the occasion of being
honored by the SULLIVAN COUNTY DEMOCRAT in its 2012 Men at Work edition;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Dr. Ethan Singer.
