LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION congratulating Mr. and Mrs. Francis Stunzi upon
the occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary

WHEREAS, Francis Augustus Stunzi and Patricia Ann Belair were united in
marriage on November 18, 1961, in St. Patrick's Church in Rouses Point,
New York, where they continue to reside; and
WHEREAS, They are the proud parents of two daughters, Lynn Grovine of
Chazy, New York and Marsha Trombly of West Chazy, and a son, Francis M.
(Frank) also of Chazy, and have seven grandchildren, Alison and Kathe-
rine Grovine; Lyles, Jessica, Adrian and Shauni Trombly and Michael
Stunzi; and three great-grandchildren, Kameron Stunzi, Karina Kalvaitis
and Noah Trombly; and
WHEREAS, Francis and Patricia Stunzi joyously celebrated their 50th
anniversary on November 13, 2011; they gathered with their children and
their families to attend mass together and witness the blessing of their
marriage by the Reverend Clyde Lewis at St. Patrick's Church, the same
church in which they were married; and
WHEREAS, Following mass they and their family gathered for a celebra-
tory brunch at Cricket's in Peru, New York; and
WHEREAS, Francis Stunzi retired from Ayerst Labs in 2000 after 40
years of distinguished service; Patricia Stunzi was employed at
Latremore's Insurance and later worked at the Chazy Central Rural School
cafeteria; and
WHEREAS, In their retirement Patricia and Francis Stunzi enjoy gem and
mineral collecting and mining, mountain climbing, stamp collecting,
collecting feed sacks, quilting and gardening; Francis is an ADK 46er,
completing the 46th, Whiteface Mountain, on his 46th birthday where
Patricia met him and fellow climbers on top with a birthday cake; and
WHEREAS, Also in celebration of their 50th Anniversary, they returned
to their favorite vacation spot, the Rosedon in Bermuda; and
WHEREAS, Francis and Pat have also enjoyed traveling to other points
of interest in various states; their most memorable trips include Alca-
traz Island, San Diego, San Francisco, Atlanta, St. Louis and Boston and
the states of Florida and Maine; and
WHEREAS, Patricia and Francis Stunzi are and always have been a tower
of strength, support, understanding and limitless love for their family;
and
WHEREAS, Their love, devotion, caring, sensitivity and responsiveness
to their family, friends and all who know them are their hallmark and
tradition; and
WHEREAS, Patricia and Francis Stunzi have lived and continue to live
their lives with great dignity and genuine grace, always demonstrating a
deep and continuing concern for human values and ideals, and in so
doing, they have inspired others to do the same; and
WHEREAS, This meaningful occasion is the result of the love, hard work
and spirit that this couple has invested in their marriage; and
WHEREAS, These same values they have passed to their loved ones,
producing a family that is close-knit and supportive of its individual
members, public-minded in its relations to the community and committed
to the ideals of citizenship upon which this Nation was founded; and
WHEREAS, Patricia and Francis Stunzi have touched the lives of their
family and many friends through the shining example of their marriage,
which is a testament to the devotion and admiration which they possess
for one another; and
WHEREAS, The longevity of this enduring marriage truly marks a mile-
stone in life's journey, an event of personal triumph and joy; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that when an occa-
sion of such importance is brought to our attention, the same should be
memorialized by us for the edification and emulation of others; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Francis Stunzi upon the occasion of their 50th
Wedding Anniversary; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Mr. and Mrs. Francis Stunzi.
