LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Ariana Juliet Kaminski upon the occasion
of being named the 2011 Miss Teenager of New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and pay
tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Ariana Juliet Kaminski upon the occasion of being named the 2011 Miss
Teenager of New York; and
WHEREAS, Within every community there exist certain individuals who
through hard work, dedication, and service, play an instrumental role in
making their community a better place to live; and
WHEREAS, One such individual is Ariana Juliet Kaminski, who is being
honored for her dedication to her community and for her extraordinary
service, not only to her community, but to New York State; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jamie and Monica Kaminski, Ariana Juliet
Kaminski is a senior at Tri-Valley Central School; she will be graduat-
ing on June 23, 2012, with an Advanced Regents with Honors Diploma; and
WHEREAS, In addition to being named Miss Teenager of New York 2011,
Ariana Juliet Kaminski has also been crowned Miss Teen New York Interna-
tional in 2009, Miss New York High School in 2010, Miss Teen Hudson
Valley in 2011, and Miss Teen International Princess in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Ariana Juliet Kaminski is a member of the Tri-Valley FFA, New
York State FFA, and National FFA Organizations; and
WHEREAS, Ariana Juliet Kaminski has been involved in numerous extra-
curricular activities including FFA State Chorus, Tri-Valley High School
Band, Washington, D.C. Memorial Day Band Trip, Hip-Hop Dance Classes,
Tri-Valley Varsity Cheerleading and Dance Team; and
WHEREAS, A valued and involved member of her community, Ariana Juliet
Kaminski serves as a volunteer for numerous organizations including St.
Paul's Soup Kitchen, her local Girl Scouts, the Daniel Pierce Library,
Sullivan County Renaissance and Youth Education Programs; and
WHEREAS, Ariana Juliet Kaminski is also a Sunday and Friday School
Teacher at Main Street Bible Fellowship and a Student Volunteer for 2nd
Grade; and
WHEREAS, Ariana Juliet Kaminski has received numerous awards includ-
ing: Excellence in High School Spanish Award, High Honor Roll, Perfect
Attendance Award, Tri-Valley Principal Selection Committee, and Excel-
lence on Level 4 NYSSMA Flute Solo; and
WHEREAS, She has also received a number of accolades from the National
FFA Association, some of which include Discovery Degree, Greenhand
Degree, Richard Strangeway Perseverance Award and Proficiency Award -
Silver Agriculture Communications; and
WHEREAS, Moreover, this remarkable young woman was recently nominated
and selected to travel in July of 2012 as People-to-People Student
Ambassador - Heart of Europe; and
WHEREAS, With her sense of civic duty and her commitment to others,
Ariana Juliet Kaminski represents the best development of the potential
which is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth; now, there-
fore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Ariana Juliet Kaminski upon the occasion of being named the 2011
Miss Teenager of New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Ariana Juliet Kaminski.
