LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION honoring Erica Concors upon the occasion of her
recognition by the Orange County Interscholastic Athletic Association as
a 2012 OCIAA Scholar Athlete

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to act, in accord with
its long-standing traditions, to honor the achievements of its young
citizens and leaders of tomorrow, whose character and accomplishments
exemplify the ideals and values cherished by this great State and
nation; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Erica Concors
upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange County Interscholas-
tic Athletic Association as a 2012 OCIAA Scholar Athlete; and
WHEREAS, Academically and athletically, Erica Concors has distin-
guished herself as a young woman of superlative ability, talent, and
maturity, establishing standards of excellence and achievement, purpose-
fulness of life, and responsibility rarely achieved in youthful years;
and
WHEREAS, Erica Concors, a student at Monticello High School in Monti-
cello, New York, has a grade point average of 101, she is ranked 1st in
her class and played cross country, Nordic skiing, and track; and
WHEREAS, An outstanding role model for her classmates, Erica Concors
has brought honor to her family, school, and community; and
WHEREAS, Erica Concors may stand with pride in her achievements, expe-
riencing the satisfaction of her labors and the joy of her accomplish-
ments, eager to face the challenge of new experiences as she continues
her education; and
WHEREAS, Erica Concors represents the potential inherent in our most
precious resource, our youth; this Legislative Body is pleased to honor
this young woman, recognizing her achievements and the promise of her
future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Erica Concors upon the occasion of her recognition by the Orange
County Interscholastic Athletic Association as a 2012 OCIAA Scholar
Athlete and to wish her well in her future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Erica Concors.
