LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION mourning the death of David Lambert, distin-
guished citizen and devoted member of his community

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens of the State of New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
WHEREAS, David Lambert of Endicott, New York, died on February 28,
2011, at the age of 77; and
WHEREAS, David Lambert distinguished himself in his profession and by
his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and
WHEREAS, A carpenter for Local 281, David Lambert was eventually
elected as business agent before retiring in March of 1997; he was
actively involved in his community, and served on the Village of Endi-
cott Zoning Board and the New York National Guard for several years; and
WHEREAS, An avid outdoorsman, David Lambert was both a fisherman and a
hunter; he also enjoyed traveling with his friends to places such as
Alaska, Canada, Colorado and New Mexico; and
WHEREAS, David Lambert's commitment to excellence, and his spirit of
humanity, carried over into all fields of enterprise, including charita-
ble and civic endeavors; and
WHEREAS, Predeceased by his parents, Erving and Mary Lambert; and his
son, Donnie, David Lambert is survived by his devoted wife, Betty; his
loving daughter, Laurie (Paul) Newton; his niece, Debbie (Brian) Harmon;
his brother, Jack; his nephews, Scott (Kathy) Lambert and Todd (Mary
Bridgett) Lambert, Dave Kendrick, Dan (Laurie) Kendrick, and Duane (Pam)
Kendrick; and his grandchildren, Erica, Bill and Ashley; and great-
grandchildren, Dutch and Cameron; as well as several great-nephews and
great-nieces; and
WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit, imbued with a sense of
compassion, and comforted by a loving family, David Lambert leaves
behind a legacy which will long endure the passage of time and will
remain as a comforting memory to all he served and befriended; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of David Lambert, distinguished citizen and devoted
member of his community; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to the family of David Lambert.
