LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION, honoring John LoBianco, a local Physician's
Assistant, upon the occasion of donating his stem cells in an effort to
potentially save the life of a man suffering from lymphoma

WHEREAS, The unity of our State and Nation is built upon the compassion
of individuals, such as John LoBianco, who uphold the values of communi-
ty life and who, through their great actions, epitomize the best of
humanity; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor John LoBianco,
a local Physician's Assistant, upon the occasion of donating his stem
cells in an effort to potentially save the life of a man suffering from
lymphoma; and
WHEREAS, John LoBianco, a 23 year-old Orchard Park resident, joined
bethematch.org, a national bone marrow and stem cell registry; and
WHEREAS, On August 1-2, 2013, John LoBianco will selflessly undergo a
procedure at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, to transfer his stem cells
to a man he has never met who is suffering from lymphoma; and
WHEREAS, With the hopes of giving all people a chance to live, John
LoBianco is an advocate for bethematch.org; he chose to study medicine
in college due to his passionate conviction for helping others; and
WHEREAS, It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York to
acknowledge those within our midst who have made significant contrib-
utions to the quality of life therein; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor John LoBianco upon the occasion of donating his stem cells in an
effort to potentially save the life of a man suffering from lymphoma;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to John LoBianco.
