LEGISLATIVE RESOLUTION commemorating the 10th Anniversary of Minto
Entertainment, Inc.

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body, that the quality and
character of life in this great Empire State is indelibly enriched by
the faithful and untiring efforts of those who have helped shape the
history of broadcasting; and
WHEREAS, The arts, in whatever form depicted, are central to human
expression; they are truly a universal language and their contribution
to the development of friendship and understanding among all peoples
cannot be underestimated; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its long-
standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to commem-
orate the 10th Anniversary of Minto Entertainment, Inc. on Thursday,
July 25, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Minto Entertainment was founded by Michael J. Pinto on July
25, 2003, with the first broadcast of "The Marvelous Mike Hour"; and
WHEREAS, Committed to enriching the Arts and Theatre Programs of young
persons and schools on Staten Island, Minto Entertainment strives for
excellence in all of its projects in the fields of Entertainment, Commu-
nication, and Theatre Production; and
WHEREAS, In addition to its broadcasting and theatrical performances,
Minto Entertainment also offers services in videography, photography,
graphic design and music lessons; and
WHEREAS, On July 25, 2004, Studio 3-A was renamed The Michael Pinto
Studio in honor of the company's one year anniversary; and
WHEREAS, The renowned "Marvelous Mike Hour" has seen much success, and
on December 26, 2006, the first "Marvelous Mike Hour Christmas Spectac-
ular" was broadcast featuring the newest additions to the cavalcade of
stars; and
WHEREAS, "The Marvelous Mike Hour" premiered on WCBG Radio on Septem-
ber 17, 2007, and featured news, sports, politics and entertainment;
October 22 of the same year, the show took part in the first coast-to-
coast broadcast with Marvelous Mike in WCBG's New York studios, and
Hilarious Harry reporting from Anaheim, California; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, on January 28, 2008, the WCBG Broadcast was
expanded to two hours, and the name was changed to "Monday Nites with
Marvelous Mike"; in March of 2009 the "Marvelous Mike" YouTube channel
was launched, allowing millions of internet users to view the show's
greatest moments at any time; and
WHEREAS, On April 14, 2010 Marvelous Mike interviewed the legendary
NBC Nightly News Anchor and Managing Editor, Brian Williams, from the
NBC News Conference Room at the illustrious 30 Rockefeller Plaza; the 30
minute interview aired on WCBG the following week; and
WHEREAS, The farewell episode of "Monday Nights with Marvelous Mike &
Friends" aired on May 10, 2010, and became the highest rated broadcast
in WCBG history; October of the same year, Minto Entertainment became
incorporated as a domestic corporation in the State of New York; and
WHEREAS, With the hope to start a tradition which honors the sacrifice
and dedication of Catholic High School students in dramatic arts
programs, Minto Entertainment established The Minty Awards to promote
these programs, performers, and all who support them; and
WHEREAS, The inaugural Minty Awards was held on June 5, 2011 at Snug
Harbor's Music Hall; the awards were created with the belief that these
students and their schools provide excellent examples of self-discip-
line, teamwork, and faith, and should therefore be celebrated for their
efforts and achievements; and

WHEREAS, On January 16, 2012, "Marvelous Mike & Friends" began its
fourth season as a podcast, broadcasting from the Minto Entertainment
Headquarters in New York City on MarvelousMike.com; the show reached
number 76 as the most listened to Comedic Podcast on the iTunes Podcast
Charts; and
WHEREAS, Steeped in a proud and distinguished history, Minto Enter-
tainment can look back with great pride upon its humble beginnings;
taking just satisfaction in its purposeful growth, it will continue its
mission, devoting its talent and unique services to enriching the
cultural spirit of the public it has served so faithfully for 10 years;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 10th Anniversary of Minto Entertainment, Inc.; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be tran-
smitted to Michael J. Pinto, President, Minto Entertainment, Inc.
